A Pictorial History of Marietta, Ohio
A record of history has been provided for all of us by photographers and artists who have taken pictures through the years of the development, the struggles and the beauty of the Marietta, Ohio area. Through these images you can see the spirit and courage of Marietta’s people, the most important element of life in a river town.

This part of our website provides a visual history of daily life in Marietta –the remarkable buildings and industry, devastating floods and fires, and the underlying determination of a strong people who don’t quit even today.

We are constantly adding restored photos to this site. If you have questions or photos you would like to share please email us and we will respond as soon as possible. Series I and II are photos that we are in partnership with the Marietta YMCA and a portion of all those sales go that organization.
