| The
Perfect Tree by Dave Barnhouse |
|
| Imagine the ideal holiday winter evening," the artist comments. "The snow is gently falling, the temperature mild and there's only the hint of a breeze." A local family has parked in front of Bill Roe's Blacksmith Shop and are searching for the perfect Christmas tree. From inside the shop we hear pounding on brackets and farm machinery parts. Off in the distance we can catch the faint strains of a train whistle. And, soon, we will likely be serenaded with gleeful shouts from children as the perfect tree is loaded in the pickup for the short drive home. |
